Shirley attended High School in Malaysia and won a scholarship to study in Australia. She graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1995 with degrees in Accounting and Finance, and spent four years with Pricewaterhouse Coopers’ Audit Division in Malaysia. Her clients ranged from property developers to wood-product manufacturers and palm oil plantations. Her work there also included fraud related investigations.
Her accounting background includes three years as group accountant with a large integrated food supply company and a further three years supervising all administrative and accounting functions with a leading construction firm.
Since 2001 she’s been a member of CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Malaysia.
Shirley moved to Bathurst with her husband Jason and son Riordan in 2006. Jason is originally from Bathurst.
