Maree graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management).  Prior to her university study, she worked in recruitment for 7 years as part of her extensive role with internal resources in a large organisation.

Maree began her career in administration in Local Government. For close on 12 years she provided support to the Mayor, General Manager, and Director of Corporate Services Bathurst Regional Council.
